ATHENS AIRPORT BY BUS TO THE CITY

Athens Airport is connected to downtown by four bus lines (x93, x95, x96, x97) and also to KTEL terminal, Liosion bus terminal and Piraeus.

 

All this four bus lines run 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The buses have a 30 up to 60 minutes’ frequency.

Route x93: Athens Airport – Kifisou Avenue

This route connects Athens Airport with the intercity bus station. Total trip time is of 65 minutes with 40 minutes’ frequency. See the schedule

 

Route x95: Athens Airport – Syntagma Square

By this bus route you can get to Athens city centre. See the schedule

 

Route x96: Athens Airport – Piraeus

Get directly to the Piraeus port. This is the suitable option in case you wish to take a board or a ferry to the greek island. Total trip time is of 90 minutes. See the schedule

 

Route x97: Athens Airport – Elliniko

Location

The bus arrivals are located outside arrivals at the exits 4 and 5, while disembark is done outside the departures level.

Athena Card

By the Athena Card you can get convenient fares to travel to and from Athens Airport. The card can be used for 90 minutes up to 5 days and is rechargeable. They can be both purchased at any metro station, ticket office and at the automatic ticket machines.

 

The Anonymous Athena Card is really worth for passengers travelling to Athens since it can be charged and recharged from 90 minutes to 5 days and used to transfer from both metro and bus from Athens Airport.

 

On the other hand, if your stay in Athens is less than 3 days, our recommendation is to purchase the 3-day tourist ticket.
